Key features of the inventory scales
Livestock scales are devices for the precise measurement of the weight (scale) of livestock. In addition to providing precise results, they must also be of an appropriate design to enable efficient weighing of pigs or cattle.
Specifics of inventory scales
An important issue of inventory scales is the correct sizing for the specifics of the inventory. Therefore, our company provides customers with the possibility of making the scales in different sizes and weighing ranges.
This will ensure that the device is fully adapted to specific needs. Inventory scales comes as standard in three sizes, depending on which group of animals you want to weigh.
The WIE 500 and WIE 1000 scales are most commonly used for weighing pigs. The WIE 500 scale has a weighing range of up to 500 kg and is used for weighing individual pigs. The WIE 1000, on the other hand, has twice the weighing range and is relatively larger. With this scale, several animals can be weighed at the same time. For weighing cattle, the WIE 1500 is used.
It has the largest weighing range of up to 1,500 kg and suitable dimensions for this group of animals. All the above-mentioned scales can be made in zinc or acid-resistant sheet metal, have a stable measuring function (latching of the result) and optionally have a direct connection to a printer or computer.
Due to the specific nature of the application, inventory scales must be characterised by an extremely robust and strong pen construction. For the complete safety of the animals, Zuptor scales use non-slip corrugated sheet flooring.
Issues relating to the appropriate security of the pen are also very important. Attention must therefore be paid not only to the ease of use, but also to the safety features used and the quality of the materials used in the manufacture of the scale. A high level of structural strength is a guarantee of many years of use.
